Béatrice Bruneteau's universe is that of wild natural landscapes, where vegetation and rocks, snow and ice mingle. Sculptures and wall installations are approached by assembling and superimposing materials, creating games of texture in a chromatic palette with organic accents, in browns, whites and grays.

 

Each piece, unique, is entirely handmade by the artist in his workshop very close to the Chantilly forest, north of Paris. The raw materials: stoneware, porcelain, oxides, enamels…. are carefully selected and implemented with respect for ceramic know-how.

 

An architect by training, Béatrice Bruneteau learned ceramic techniques in Sèvres about ten years ago. His work was rewarded in 2009 by the SEMA 92 prize for contemporary creation, and the “La Relève” prize from Ateliers d'Art de France.

Béatrice regularly works in partnership with interior designers, and has signed several tableware collections for renowned publishers. She recently worked in France with Caravane, Roche-Bobois, SIA Home Fashion, Maison Parisienne; in Belgium with Serax; in the United States with ABC Home (New York); in Asia with Artisans d'Angkor (Cambodia) and The Refined Space (Taiwan).
